Mario Narvaez

Mario Narvaez is the Director of The Ultra Fit Training Studio in Greer, South Carolina, and his connection to Ultra Fit began long before he became a trainer. He first walked through the doors as a client, searching for a way to transform his body, rebuild his confidence, and become more disciplined in every area of his life. Through the Ultra Fit system, Mario lost 76 pounds in six months. That transformation changed far more than his appearance. It showed him what is possible when the right plan, coaching, and consistent effort come together.

After experiencing those results firsthand, Mario developed a passion for helping other people create their own transformations. He became a personal trainer and quickly earned a reputation for bringing energy, honesty, accountability, and genuine care to every client he coached. Mario understands how overwhelming it can feel to begin a fitness journey because he has personally lived through the frustration, self doubt, and inconsistency that many clients face. He also understands the confidence that comes from finally seeing progress and realizing that change is possible.

Today, as Director of Ultra Fit Greer, Mario leads a team committed to delivering private, personalized training in a supportive environment. His coaching style combines structured strength training, practical nutrition guidance, consistent accountability, and a strong personal relationship with each client. He believes that successful coaching requires more than counting repetitions. It means understanding a client’s goals, lifestyle, schedule, obstacles, and motivation, then building a plan that can realistically move that person forward.

Mario works with clients from many backgrounds, including people seeking significant weight loss, muscle development, improved strength, better mobility, increased confidence, and a healthier lifestyle. Whether someone is stepping into a gym for the first time or looking to take their physique to the next level, Mario meets them where they are while challenging them to become stronger than they believed possible.
His own fitness journey eventually led him to compete at the 2023 Lee Haney Games under the guidance of legendary coach and Ultra Fit founder John DeFendis. That experience strengthened Mario’s understanding of discipline, preparation, and the level of commitment required to achieve an ambitious goal. He now brings those lessons into his leadership and coaching every day.

Originally born in Trujillo, Peru, Mario has built his life and career in the Greenville area. He is also a proud father, and his daughter remains one of his greatest motivations to keep growing, leading, and setting a strong example.
He wants every person who enters the studio to feel seen, supported, challenged, and confident that lasting change is within reach for them.
For Mario, Ultra Fit is more than a gym. It is the place that helped change his life, and now it is where he helps others change theirs. His mission is simple: give every client a clear plan, hold them accountable, believe in them through the difficult moments, and help them achieve results they can carry into every part of their life with lasting confidence.

Antrez McDaniel

My name is Antrez McDaniel, born, raised, and still proudly living in the Golden Strip area. Most people know me as Coach Mac. I’m a husband and father of four, and my life has always centered around teaching, mentoring, and helping others grow.
My passion for instruction started early, teaching my younger brother shapes, colors, and numbers. That same drive carried into my collegiate football career and later into working with special‑needs students while coaching high school football for more than 20 years. Coaching has always been the place where my energy, purpose, and personality fit naturally.

Through sports, I developed a high‑energy, results‑driven coaching style built on discipline, accountability, and genuine connection. That style made it an easy transition into fitness training, where I now help people transform their lives through the best training program available. Over the past year alone, I’ve helped more than 40 people lose hundreds of pounds and rebuild their confidence, habits, and daily discipline.

My approach is old‑school, mentor‑style coaching — direct, supportive, and focused on your goals. I’ve always had a helpful spirit, and my expertise is getting you to show up, start, and keep going. I believe every goal is achievable, and the key is breaking it down into smaller checkpoints, celebrating wins, and building momentum week by week.
I’m here to guide you, push you, and help you become the strongest version of yourself. I look forward to meeting you and helping you take the next step toward your goals!

Kristi Mack

Born and raised in Gaffney, South Carolina, I have always had a passion for health, fitness, and helping others reach their full potential. I earned my degree in Recreation Therapy from Clemson University and competed as a collegiate volleyball player at Spartanburg Methodist College. My background in sports taught me the value of discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and living an active lifestyle.

My passion for personal training became even more meaningful when I joined the Ultra Fit program as a client. Through dedication and consistency, I lost 50 pounds, transforming not only my health but also my confidence and outlook on life. That experience inspired me to become a trainer so I could help others achieve the same life-changing results.

For the past two years, I’ve been helping clients build strength, improve their health, and gain confidence through the Ultra Fit training program. Whether your goal is weight loss, building muscle, improving athletic performance, or simply feeling your best, I’m committed to creating a supportive, motivating environment where you can succeed.

At Ultra Fit, my mission is to help every client become stronger, healthier, and more confident—one workout at a time. I believe fitness is about more than physical transformation; it’s about building lasting habits that lead to a healthier, happier life. No matter where you’re starting, I’m here to encourage, challenge, and support you every step of the way.

Will Weaver

My name is William Weaver, and I am a 41-year-old fitness professional from Greenville, South Carolina, with a passion for helping people become the strongest, healthiest version of themselves.

I hold an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer certification, a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification, and a USA Weightlifting Level 1 certification. I am also a qualified CrossFit competition judge and have served as a judge at sanctioned CrossFit competitions. I do my best work with disciplined, driven men and women who have already achieved success in business, entrepreneurship, or their careers but recognize they need expert guidance and accountability in their health and fitness. They understand the value of coaching and want a proven system that removes the guesswork from training, nutrition, and lifestyle habits. Many of my clients excel professionally but want the same level of structure, strategy, and measurable progress in the gym that they’ve built in their careers. While I enjoy every aspect of fitness, my greatest passion is people. There is nothing more rewarding than watching someone accomplish goals they once believed were impossible and seeing the confidence that comes from realizing they are capable of far more than they ever imagined. I believe fitness and nutrition have the power to transform lives—not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

As a coach, my mission is to educate, motivate, and hold people accountable while creating an environment where every client feels encouraged, supported, and empowered. Whether someone is taking their very first step toward better health or striving to reach peak performance, I am committed to helping them build sustainable habits that produce lasting results.

For me, coaching is about far more than workouts or meal plans. It’s about changing lives, building confidence, developing discipline, and helping people discover the strength they already possess. My goal is to equip every client with the tools, knowledge, and mindset they need to succeed—not just in the gym, but in every area of life.

Mike Rush

Hey! My name is Mike Rush.

I was born in Glendora, California, but I spent most of my childhood in Anderson, South Carolina, where I graduated from Pendleton High School. After high school, I attended North Greenville University, earning my degree in Sport Management while playing four years of college football.

Football has been a major part of my life since I was 10 years old. It also introduced me to weight training at the age of 13. What started as a way to become a better athlete quickly became a lifelong passion. Strength training helped me build confidence, develop lean muscle, and become the strongest player at my high school. The physical and mental benefits I gained through training had a lasting impact on my life.

During high school and college, I learned the value of proper strength training, especially using compound movements. Those years taught me discipline, consistency, and the importance of hard work—qualities I strive to pass on to every client I coach.

After graduating from college, I knew I wanted to help others experience the same life-changing benefits that fitness had given me. I began my career as a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym in Anderson, South Carolina. I loved helping people so much that during my first year, I trained clients seven days a week. Seeing people become healthier, stronger, and more confident confirmed I had found my calling.

Over the years, I have continued to invest in my education and professional development. I am currently certified through the International Fitness Association (IFA) and have also earned personal training certifications through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and the National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA). Continuing to learn and grow has always been important to me so I can provide my clients with the safest, most effective, and results-driven training possible.

After three years at Gold’s Gym, I joined Ultra Fit at Coops Health & Fitness, now Ten Star Fitness, in Anderson. There I had the opportunity to learn from Ultra Fit founder John DeFendis. His passion, knowledge, and proven approach to strength training and nutrition helped me become a more effective coach and gave me an even greater understanding of how to help people achieve lasting results.

Three years later, I was promoted to Ultra Fit Training Director and began leading programs at Workout Anytime in Anderson. Over the next five years, I managed Ultra Fit at three different Workout Anytime locations, helping people transform their health through personalized training and nutrition.

Following COVID, I took a leap of faith and opened the Ultra Fit Personal Training Studio in Greer, South Carolina. Nearly five years later, it has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident is what motivates me every day.

After nearly 18 years as a personal trainer, my mission remains simple: to help people of all ages experience the incredible physical and mental benefits of strength training. Whether your goal is to lose weight, build muscle, increase strength, or improve your overall health, my team and I are committed to helping you succeed.

I’d love the opportunity to help you become our next success story. We look forward to welcoming you to Ultra Fit Personal Training Studio!

Jordan Owenby

My name is Jordan Owenby, and I’m proud to be a personal trainer dedicated to helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident—both physically and mentally versions of themselves here at Ultra Fit. Originally from Canton North Carolina, I am 29 years old, and my passion for fitness goes far beyond lifting weights or improving athletic performance. For me, fitness started out as a chore to become a better wrestler. At the age of eleven, working out quickly became a life-changing gift from God that transformed not only my body but also my mind and spirit.

Like many people, I have faced difficult seasons in life. I struggled with depression and battled anxiety at a very young age, often feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to move forward. During those challenging times, I discovered that exercise wasn’t just about getting into better shape—it became a source of healing. Every workout reminded me that I was capable of overcoming obstacles one step, one rep, and one day at a time. I truly believe God placed fitness in my life as a tool to restore my confidence, strengthen my faith, and help me find purpose again.

That personal journey is what fuels my passion for coaching others today. I understand that every person who walks into a gym has their own story. Some are chasing performance goals, others want to lose weight or build muscle, and many are simply looking for a healthier lifestyle. Whatever your reason, I believe everyone deserves encouragement, accountability, and a coach who genuinely cares about their success.

As a trainer, my goal is to create a positive and welcoming environment where clients feel supported from day one. I focus on building sustainable habits, proper technique, and utilizing the ultra fit programs that fit each individual’s goals, experience level, and lifestyle. I want every client to leave each session feeling stronger than when they arrived—not just physically, but mentally as well.

My faith continues to be the foundation of everything I do. I believe God has blessed each of us with unique abilities, and I consider it a privilege to use mine to serve others. Watching clients achieve goals they once thought were impossible is one of the most rewarding parts of my career. Whether it’s completing a first pull-up, reaching a weight-loss milestone, gaining confidence, or simply feeling better each day, those victories matter. They mattered for me, and they continue to matter as that is what motivates me to keep going even to this day.

Fitness has taught me discipline, resilience, patience, and gratitude. It has shown me that growth often comes through perseverance and that our greatest transformations happen when we refuse to give up. Those are lessons I strive to share with every person I train.
When you work with me, you’re not just getting someone to count reps or design workouts. You’re partnering with someone who understands that true health is about more than appearance. It’s about building strength from the inside out, developing confidence, overcoming challenges, and becoming the best version of yourself.
I’m honored to be part of your fitness journey and look forward to helping you discover what you’re truly capable of. Together, we’ll work toward your goals, celebrate every victory along the way, and build a healthier, stronger future—one workout at a time.
